Creeting repairs repairs

This fantastic 17th century parlour frame (extension to a 16th century house) had major problems with one corner post almost crumbling to dust that in turn was causing problems to adjacent frame components. The main problems were the usual leaky downpipes, high ground levels and a hard cement render.

Now owned by a dairy farming family who have restored the surrounding famland to pasture for their herd of Jerseys it now has a new lease of life. We will return to work on the 16th century range in the next year or two and look forward to uncovering more clues to it's past.
