Dairy Cottage, Bury St Edmunds
Dairy Cottage was once a gatehouse to the Hardwick estate in Bury St. Edmunds.
In 1970 a modern housing estate was built around it and the cottage was patched up by the developers.
In 2002 new owners embarked upon an extensive repairs programme unpicking poor quality works from the 70's.
The whole building is being re-rendered in lime and we carried out repairs to decayed sections of the frame over the former entry. Sadly the rail was in very poor condition and along with two of the posts was replaced, the other two front posts only needed scarf repairs
